Fjällräven Barents Pro heren Trekkingshorts

Shorts are, for me at least, a difficult nut to crack. It’s far too easy to look awful in shorts than say Jeans. I have found that both 5 inch and 7 inch shorts to be the sweet spot for me. But with these Barents Pro we are looking at a much longer inseam. Just above the knee (I’m 5ft 10) and another of my personal fashion faux pas... Cargo Shorts. However, somehow they manage to avoid the awful fashion cliche of looking like a ‘Dad’ which is so often the result of long inseam shorts, especially Cargo ones. Not least because these Fjallravens are so beautiful made, albeit rather heavy fabric, a fact that nearly led me to take a star off the rating. However, this fact also makes them inherently strong, robust and a pair of shorts that will last many years. They have that rather enviable ability to create a sweet spot between being too baggy and too tight. Being a rather middle ground.... Personally, these will be ideal shorts for those less than hot Summer days, ones which also threaten to carry cloud/rain, but where you don’t want to wear jeans or trousers. In my opinion if there’s a heatwave, they are too hot, especially if you’re hiking in them, when there are plenty of stretchy, lighter shorts on the market that would be far more suitable.A great pair of shorts which actually give out all right vibes.
