The ruler is well constructed and has a good plastic protective bead along the top and bottom edges. This bead also provides a nice degree of protection when using the edge to guide a pen, or other drawing implement. It's clearly marked in centimetres and inches on either side.It can be shaped into some quite tight curves, which it holds very well and is a real help in transferring complex shapes. I particularly like the length of the ruler. At 60cm it isn't too long as to be unwieldly but still has a very useable length for larger, or more complex shapes.

Handy flexible ruler, that makes it easier to draw curved lines of a known length.The only drawbacks are that it doesn't hold shape very well (there is no metal core that I can detect), and it's hard to get it to form smooth curves. Probably not great for detailed engineering drawings, but for simple uses it's probably fine.
