I ordered this hoping that I could get "OK" indications/measurements for my intended purpose, not wanting to splash out on an expensive name brand kit yet. But even with those low expectations, it did not come close to delivering.It's described as having a "flexible strong magnetic base holder" - but there is nothing strong or sturdy about it. The magnetic base is tiny (!) and has almost zero holding power with the magnet activated - so attached vertically on the side of for example a metal drill press or similar machine, it just slides down the side. And it does not have enough mass to even support the arm extended (without the gauge attached) on a table without tipping over. So for all intents and purposes, it's pretty much useless. I won't even bother getting into the instrument itself, or the broken plastic case it arrived in.Save yourself some trouble and get something better.
