Een clapperboard is een apparaat dat wordt gebruikt bij het maken van films en videoproducties om te helpen bij het synchroniseren van beeld en geluid, en om bepaalde scènes en opnames aan te wijzen en te markeren die tijdens een productie zijn opgenomen. Het scherpe "klap" geluid dat de clapperboard maakt, kan gemakkelijk worden geïdentificeerd op de audiotrack en het sluiten van de clapstick kan gemakkelijk worden geïdentificeerd op de afzonderlijke visuele track. De twee tracks kunnen vervolgens nauwkeurig worden gesynchroniseerd door het geluid en de beweging af te stemmen. De clapperboard, clapboard leisteen of filmleisteen is de combinatie van de krijtbordleisteen die informatie bevat die de volgende scène identificeert en de clapstick die wordt gebruikt om geluid en beeld uit te lijnen.
De filmdakspaan is een productielisteen gemaakt van wit acryl en ontworpen voor gebruik met droogwismarkers. Een kosteneffectieve productietool die vooral handig is bij sync-geluidsproducties - of het nu gaat om video, film of dual-system DSLR - de leisteen wordt geleverd met kleurrijke klepelsticks van standaardformaat en heeft een schrijfoppervlak van 25 x 30 cm.

I read some of the reviews complaining about how the nuts securing the clapper would quickly come loose from their retaining bolts. I did not want to use messy super glue, as some buyers recommended. Instead, I easily fixed this problem with a quick trip to the hardware store. I bought a few Size #8 zinc lock washers at a cost of 2 USD. I experimented with two varieties of lock washers: the "split" and "internal tooth" types. Both worked well, but I went with the internal tooth lock washers for their better appearance. I subsequently tested the clapper mechanism 100 times with the addition of the three lock washers, and the nuts remained tightly affixed to the three bolts. I am now very happy with how well my inexpensive clapboard functions. I am pleased with the money I saved over more expensive alternatives. This clapboard is a great value!

My husband won his first big award for a script he wrote. I used this as a gift with a “mock” production date. Maybe it was luck or an ironic coincidence but now he is in the process of making the movie! Great gift! The marker does stay on well but also is erasable and only the ink comes off when erasing.
