FLIR TG54-2 Infrared Spot Thermometer with Digital Readout: For Non-Contact Temperature Measurements up to 1,562 Degrees F

This FLIR thermometer comes in a branded cardboard box with an outer sleeve. Inside was the thermometer inside of it's own holster/carrying case, a quick start guide, and a 9v battery.This thermometer and generally all products made by FLIR are pretty amazing and I was surprisingly lucky to be able to get this one.Before I got this one, I have been using one of those generic red/black small laser thermometers but seems like as time goes on, it gets less accurate. I compared the readings to this FLIR one and the FLIR thermometer seems to update and track temperature a bit better. The temps from my red one were sometimes higher than 10 degrees while this FLIR one seemed to stay constant.There are numerous options that you can change between on this FLIR thermometer including Celsius and Fahrenheit. You can set different temperature alarms for high and low, log your data, display the time. You can also change between max, minimum, average, and difference between temperature measurements. The accuracy on paper is also more accurate than my old one as well.Overall, FLIR and their products are amazing but highly priced. This is no different. It's a nice and weighty thermometer with it's own holster that works very well and seems to be more accurate than my other thermometers like it.

I already own a few other products made by FLIR, so I trust their quality based on past experience. I ordered this infrared spot thermometer because I have had issues with my HVAC system in the past, so I frequently check the temperature of the air coming out of the vents throughout my home. The cheap $30 infrared thermometer I was using before did not give me consistent readings, which was frusrating. But this FLIR model is extremely accurate. I have tested it on several surfaces where I knew what the temperature was, and it was always accurate. So I know I can trust the readings it gives me. It's an expensive device, but if you care about accuracy, it's worth the cost. This would also be a perfect thermometer for an HVAC technician to use. It's very durable and can withstand a 3-meter drop.

Highly accurate and easy to use. I needed it for checking my HVAC vents as they get further from the central HVAC. Prompted me to upgrade to a higher capacity system. We have a large house all on one floor in the southwestern desert. The further you get from central air, the less effective the cooling capacity. We will have more than one vent per room in the furthest rooms. The varying temperature drops I found on my current HVAC system using this thermometer helped me come to some sound decisions. Glad I ordered it.

This is a great IR Spot thermometer to have, it's very well built and feels premium in the hand! Its responsive but takes a few seconds to get an accurate reading. I don't have a lot of experience with IR Spot thermometers, but ones I've used in the past were instant, but on the other hand I feel like this one is more accurate with its readings. The screen looks great and is easy to read, even in low light areas. FLIR is known for making great IR Thermometers, and this one is no different! It comes very well packaged, ready to use right out of the box, just add three AAA batteries and you're good to go. It even comes with a really nice carrying case. Overall, I'm very happy with it and highly recommend!
