Our youngest daughter asked Santa for a Basset puppet for Christmas; we'd had to put our Basset down earlier in the year.This puppet is spectacular, probably the best puppet we've ever had! It's incredibly soft, which is not something you can always say about the Folkmanis puppets (or others), which is so disappointing when they're otherwise incredibly cute. This one almost feels like the silly soft fur on our Basset's chest.As with most Folkmanis puppets, it's very cute, well constructed and realistic. Our daughter (4 y.o.) can operate the mouth, not the legs so much (need larger hands for that). Mostly, you'd have to choose to operate the mouth or the legs, as they're a little too far apart to operate both simultaneously.Best of all, this puppet is also a fantastic stuffed animal all on its own, which is truly something you don't often find with great puppets. Very cuddly soft and can stand up on its own; daughter loves putting it on a leash to "walk" it.Our older daughter (12) is so impressed, she's requested one for herself for next Christmas. Highly recommend!
