I use this mat for creating delicate petals with polymer clay as it is the perfect stiffness.I like that the mat has little circular cut outs, allowing me to place floral pieces in progress there and giving me ease of picking those pieces back up, without damaging my work.I did note that there is some colour transfer from the clay on to the mat, but I found a wipe with a damp cloth will easily remove any residue so as not to transfer on to future pieces.Given its size, the mat can be easily stored away with my other supplies. It's made to a good level of quality, with no pieces flaking off, which has been my experience with other mats. Overall, it works great for what I need and I'm sure it will last a good long while, making it good value in my opinion.
