This gooseneck arm has removable ends so that anti-twist Manfrotto hex studs screw right in with vice grips, rubber tubing to prevent marring, and an adjustable wrench. 3/8" female thread one end, 1/4" female thread on the other end. Perfect. Getting precision camera alignments with two piece locking arms is simply not possible, as those arms have teeth, a rosette at the center introducing an unwanted step function which is very frustrating for precise alignment no matter how you twist it. I use this gooseneck secured by a second locking arm and mini clamp mounted to the same super clamp base as a combination for fine positioning adjustments. A ROCK STABLE combination with fine adjustment is very hard to beat. RECOMMENDED
