Als je een SLR of DSLR-camera en andere maker/montagelenzen hebt, kunt u de Fotodiox Mount adapters gebruiken om uw lenzen op de film/digitale camerastrop te gebruiken. Verdelingslenzen hebben een aantal onderscheidende voordelen. Maak de prime lens gewoon niet vervangen, en je bespaart de kosten van aankoop op nieuwe lenzen. Fotodiox biedt een reeks adapters van groot formaat tot kleinere digitale adapters. Aanpassing van een groot formaat lens tot kleinere formaatsensoren (i.e: groot formaat tot medium formaat, medium formaat tot 35mm, 35mm tot micro 4/3) zorgt voor een uitstekende randscherpheid. Het kleinere beeldveld helpt de effecten van lensdistorsie te minimaliseren door gebruik te maken van de 'zoete spot' of het midden van de grotere lensbeeldcircle.
Deze fotodiox lensmount adapter is gemaakt met een hoge standaard nauwkeurigheid. Het is alle metalen design en het gepolijste oppervlak is ontworpen om een soepele montage en langdurige ervaring te garanderen. Het maakt Minolta MD/MC montagelenzen mogelijk om op C-mount (1" schroefbevestiging) Cine & CCTV-camera's samen met enkele spiegelfotobuizen.
Hoewel de lens fysiek, automatische diafragm, auto-focusing, of andere functies zullen niet correct worden bediend tijdens het gebruik van deze adapter. In deze hoes "stop-down mode" moet worden gebruikt wanneer de lens niet de mogelijkheid hebben om zijn nauwkeurigheid te hebben gecontroleerd door de camera-behuizing. Je kunt de schoenen combineren met handmatige mode of priority mode. Infinity focusing is gegarandeerd.

I bought the adapter to a video camera with a c-mount and had no clue how to make that small of an opening work with all my lenses. Well, the straight path and truth be known, the adapter allowed me to use an older Minolta lens that was collecting dust. It worked, and I am very happy.

This seems to be a very well made adapter but unfortunately it didn't allow me to reach infinity focus with the first camera that I tried (a ZWO ASI178MM astro camera that comes with a c-mount spacer/adapter). I tried two different lenses (Minolta 50mm macro and Minolta 100mm telephoto) and neither could focus at infinity (although it came pretty close). I then measured the Fotodiox mount adapter and found it to be 25.8mm thick. Thus, given the flange distance for Minolta MD/SR lens mounts that left only 0.2mm (approximately) between the adapter and the c-mount camera spacing of 17.5mm (since 25.8 + 17.5 = 43.3mm and the Minolta MD/SR lens take 43.5mm).That difference (0.2mm or 200um) is literally within the range of a human hair and in a practical sense way too close to allow all lenses to focus on all c-mount cameras. Fotodiox should have allowed at least one millimeter to account for differences between lenses and cameras.However, the adapter did work on a CS-mount camera (camera spacing 12.5mm)For this reason I can NOT recommend this adapter for Minolta MD or SR lenses.
