Item was fine, but delivery hopeless. I ordered 3, 1 was defective. Could not directly get a replacement, so I ordered another one. Never arrived. Still waiting for my refund concerning the defective one. Sloppy

I think this is a fantastic little timer! So much easier to work with than any button type. I did need to supply my own batteries, which is common with some things. I generally don't have a problem with this, as most of the time supplied batteries are of inferior quality, so I tend to just use my own decent quality ones that last long and that won't leak instead, then keep the supplied ones on standby in the event I run out of decent ones.To operate, simply turn the dial left or right which will turn the display on, and it will cycle through the numbers. And the faster one turns the dial, the quicker the numbers change. Way faster than any button types I've used. To start it, press the button, which is incorporated into the overall faceplate, and it will start counting down. The problem here, is you can't press it too hard, as the magnets can sort of lever themselves off the surface of whatever metal it has been attached to, like say a fridge door. Usually when this happens, my finger is pressing it against the fridge, so it doesn't just fall off, and hasn't as yet. Just don't be rough with it and it will be fine. Looking at the underside, there are rubber arc type pads covering the two magnets, and I think this is why it isn't as strong as it could be. It’s also the reason for potential levering itself away from the surface when pressing the faceplate button too hard. That rubber is good as it prevents it from sliding down and offers protection to the surface it is attached to.I have mine attached to the front of my fridge door, towards the hinge side as there is less door movement and risk of the door potentially slamming, which would then cause it to fall off if it were near the opening side. Keeping it as close to the hinge side is your safest bet. An alternate method might be to use some of that removable gel type double-sided tape with this or use the built-in stand and leave it on the counter. Leaving it on the counter will mean you may need to use two hands to operate it though, so keep that in mind.Also, on the back of the timer, is a 3-way selector button, which adjusts the volume by pressing through the cyles and leaving it on the beep level you are happy with. I've got it set to the lowest setting as with this timer, I'll typically be in the kitchen during use anyway. Even at that volume setting, I can still hear it from my lounge which is one room away with the TV on at normal volume, and if I keep the lounge door open too of course!The other nice feature is that it remembers the last time duration set. This is especially great, as if I wanted to make pancakes, cooking each side works best for me at 1m30s per side ... so all I do is press the faceplate to turn it on, if it is off, then press it again to start it assuming it is set to the correct duration already. When it then alarms, I press it, which stops the timer, I can then either start it again immediately with another simple press, or come back to it, repeating the steps as above if needed. None of my other timers have that functionality. Leaving the unit alone, the display will automatically turn off after a short amount of time.Overall, I think it is a fantastic timer, only let down by the lack of stronger magnetic power, but if used carefully this shouldn't be an issue at all. And for the current price of £11.49, I think it is fair value for something that is very functional and has a very modern look and feel about it. It looks great on my matt black fridge! Love it so much, I'm always showing it off to visitors; "Check how cool this timer is!" lolAll the positives about it outweigh the magnetic issue for me, so it must be 5 stars from me!

Die meisten Timer sind rechteckig und werden über Knöpfe bedient. Irgendwie langweilig. Aber der Foyucool-Timer hat diesen Weg verlassen und einen schicken runden Timer vorgelegt - der darüber hinaus auch einen Countdown von bis zu 199min beherrscht - statt der üblichen 99min.Die Countdown-Zeit wird durch einfaches Drehen des Rands eingestellt. Schnell drehen ändert die Minuten und langsames drehen die Sekunden (in 5 Sekundenschritten). Hört sich etwas kompliziert an, geht aber intuitiv leicht von der Hand. Die Einstellung der Zeit geht somit deutlich schneller als mit einem herkömmlichen Timer.Wenn man den Rand beim Einschalten nach links (gegen den Uhrzeiger) dreht springt der Timer direkt auf 199min - sehr praktisch für alles, dass einen längeren Countdown braucht. Gestartet/Pausiert wird durch den Druck auf den kleinen Kreis unten in der Mitte.Die Lautstärke des Alarmtons kann in 3 Stufen (stumm, leise, lauter) auf der Rückseite eingestellt werden.Wird der Timer nicht benötigt, schaltet er sich nach wenigen Sekunden selbstständig aus. Wenn man ihn wieder einschaltet, wird die vorherige Zeit angezeigt - praktisch für sich wiederholende Countdowns wie z.B. Wartezeit beim Tee aufbrühen.Durch die beiden Magnete auf der Rückseite haftet der Timer einigermaßen gut an entsprechenden Metalloberflächen.Die benötigte Energie gewinnt der Timer aus 3 Standard AAA-Batterien (die nicht mitgeliefert werden).Bewertung:0,5 Sterne Abzug für die etwas schwachen MagneteBereits nach kurzer Zeit hat dieser Timer meinen bisherigen Lieblingstimer abgelöst. Er ist einfach zu bedienen und sehr schnell(!) zu stellen. Der Alarmton ist ausreichend laut um auch im Nachbarzimmer deutlich wahrgenommen zu werden. Und weil sie auch noch schick aussieht ist sie eine absolute Kaufempfehlung! Eines der besten Produkte das ich bisher testen durfte!Im Rahmen des Vine-Programms habe ich das Produkt kostenlos erhalten - muss jedoch den Kaufpreis als geldwerten Vorteil versteuern. Beides hat keinen Einfluss auf meine Meinung, wie ich sie in dieser Rezension beschrieben habe.
