This product feels like quality, however, when trying to align the back side to the associated Freewell phone case, it was very hard to see where the two parts meet in order for them to fit together and turn the lens in the 'groove' so that it attaches to the case. I have read other reviews where customers mention how easy it is to turn the lens just a little too much to the point where it disconnects from the coupling spot and I just don't want to work that hard to connect a lens to the case. Improvements on the design of each would be to clearly mark on the case and on the lens where they should be aligned so that the male/female coupling occurs more easily. Worth noting that this is a better platform to buy this item as the Freewell company itself transfers any customs charges to the customer and will only accept returns in unopened state with customer paying for return fees.

UPDATE: I returned the lens but the seller continues to contact me claiming that I should contact them first before leaving a bad review. The seller also claims that the vignetting must be due to me misusing the lens, not installing it correctly. For anyone curious, the lens only attaches one way onto the case mount. You line up the large and small notches on the lens to the case mount, press down and turn it untill it will not turn anymore, 90° it looks like. No, I am NOT using it incorrectly... I have over 20 years of engineering and information systems experience, I am pretty sure I can manage to correctly attach this very simple lens to its mount on the case. The vignetting happened on the main camera on the S23 Ultra, the 200MP one. The illumination falloff was more noticeable on indoor lighting scenes and less noticeable on very bright scenes like in direct sunlight. I'm sure this update will cause me to get another message from the seller about how wrong I am for this review and stuff but whatever, I am just telling my experience. The bottom line is that the lens did not give very good results. The images always lacked fine detail even in 200MP mode. Hopefully the attached images stay in the order that I uploaded them in. The first image is the S23 Ultra main camera WITHOUT this macro lens. (Image of cat resting head) the second image is the same main camera also WITHOUT this macro lens. (Very close up of cats face with most out of focus and only the nose and a little around it in focus.) The last image is the same main camera WITH this macro lens. (Close up of cats face with entire face in focus and background out of focus) judge for yourself but the across lens image is less sharp and less fine ildetail than the stock camera without the lens. The macro lens also cannot fit much of anything in the frame and have it be in focus. As you can see with the macro lens image, only a very tiny portion of the cats face IA actually in focus. This means that you cannot even take a full face image of a human that is in focus. Ao the lens is only good for very tiny things to be innfocus. Like bugs, small flowera, or coins or the like. Maybe this lens has a place for some folks but for me I consistently got higher quality, more detailed, better framed close up images just by using the full 200MP mode on the main camera and cropping the subject in to 100% zoom. By the way, cropping the macro lens images was not very good because the image lacked the same clarity, detail, and sharpness that the stock camera gives. Look at my images and you be the judge.Images are less detailed than the stock S23 Ultra main camera in 200MP mode. Not very "long range". The distance of focuse is only a couple inches from the stock camera and images vignette heavily so image very unevenly illuminated, lacks sharpness, and overall poor. I made many comparisons with the macro lens and the stock S23 Ultra camera, in 200MP, 50MP, and 12MP modes. In all cases the stick camera produces a more detailed, sharper, and more in-focus image by just cropping to 100% zoom on the subject. The vignetting is very off-putting and the depth of focus is actually too small so only the tiniest and most flat subjects can be proper in-focus. The camera case was also a big disappointment and did not hold lenses very snugly. Absolutely not worth the price. I think adding more lenses onto the stock camera is just always going to degrade image quality. Perhaps some of the anamorphic lenses for vide would perform better since they are more for effect than detail and quality. I don't know though since I only tried the Long Range Macro lens. I do not recommend. If you have an S23 Ultra, just use the main camera in 200MP mode and crop to 100% zoom on your subject. Alternatively, the stock .6x camera also serves as the macro lens and does a admirable job of it.
