This data logger is designed for industrial uses where you need a reliable and tamperproof way of measuring temperature. I see that a lot of folks have misunderstood the purpose of this device and are thinking it is a general purpose temperature monitor.The way this works is that you need to turn it on, and leave it in whatever area you need the temperature monitored. I tried this and put it in my bag for a flight, and left it there for a week after. It properly measure the temperature for 7 days as promised. The readings sound reasonable and is plotted as graph along with a data table available in excel or pdf format. This is auto generated as soon as you connect to the computer requiring no extra effort from you.The only problem I found was that it is shipped with the date as 2nd of February. Most important please read the instructions to begin with and do not open the fresh tag, it must remain sealed. I cannot stress this enough because it has a one time only use.If you do not or are unable to follow the instructions I suggest reaching out to the seller for guidance because it would be a shame to waste this product.I have found this USB device highly accurate at reading the ambient temperature. The report writing is as simple as allowing the recording to run it's course. Finally, when it has finished - open the packet and remove the USB Fresh Tag and insert it into a free USB port on your computer. The device will show up in Windows Explorer as FRESHLIANCE and assign a drive letter since it is a small capacity flash drive. When you double click to open it you will find it has generated an Microsoft Excel Data Report detailing the entire duration of the recording in five minute intervals showing a variance including high, low, mean and average temperature plus other data. The report is also generated into a Adobe Acrobat PDF document with the very same information however it is in a different format and a colourful graphical representation plus a Certificate of Validation also in PDF format.I was surprised at just how much data this device gathers. It could be very useful for me to monitor certain conditions over a period of seven days and actually have highly accurate data logged at the end.For the amount of information and finite data this device accurately produces it is worth the price but I feel it could get expensive if you require a lot of these and it depends on your application requirements.
