From lute to uke ukulele +cd: Jumpin' Jim's Ukulele Masters - Early Music for Ukulele

I picked up two copies of this book. Once for each kid. The book has been super helpful for both of them. Songs are presented in standard music notation with the tabs directly below.

This is a lovely foray into lute music for the ukulele. The author gives a rundown on each piece, along with playing tips. The pieces are ranged from nice and simple to somewhat more advanced, and gives a sense of progress as you play through the book. It comes with a CD which helps with tempo and playing style, etc.. All in all, it is very satisfying to be playing early lute music on the truly versatile ukulele.

I owned so many ukulele books, this one is by far the BEST of the BEST. It's simple, sounds great, make sense. Unlike the entry level music books that show simple single note and call it 'solo'. This book has beautiful arrangements and sounds great . I think anyone wants to play solo music should buy this book. However, these are all classical tune so if you are looking for pop music this is not for you. I compare this to a Royal Conservatory of music in PIANO as grade 4-5 level. Hope this give you an idea what it's like?You don't need to be advance player . As long as you can read tabs and listen to the CD that comes with it. You will be playing like a pro in no time. Highly recommended.

Es un libro con muy buenos arreglos para ukelele. Hay canciones muy sencillas y otras un poco más difíciles. Me parece muy válido para cualquier nivel.

Ottimo eserciziario per allenarsi con il finger picking, senza le solite canzoncine trite e ritrite che annoiano. Molto interessante
