I asked my friend thar has just had a baby to test out the balm and she says that it definitely works. It is thick and she wasn't too sure on the smell but it definitely helped with her sore nipples.I gave it 4 stars as there are other cheaper options out there, but the product itself works fine.

Great for all kinds of dry/sore skin areas, not just the nipples. I didn't realise when I requested this product that 'no added fragrance' meant that it would smell awful, so keep that in mind. It's not unfragranced by any means, it's really quite stale and musky. Not a nice smell at all for an adult, never mind a baby.The pot you get is large (60ml) and a tiny bit really does go a long way. You don't need much of the product at all to really spread into the skin. Unfortunately, it does leave that terrible smell on the skin afterwards and I found myself washing it off in the space of ten minutes purely to get rid of that smell.I'm still awarding the product 4 stars as it's great value at under £10 for a pot that will last a long time and it spreads softly and easily into the skin, instantly giving some moisture. It's just that awful smell I can't get over, so I won't be using it. I've even asked my family members if any of them will get any use out of it and they gladly took the lid off to test it - only to be knocked backwards by the same awful smell that I can't stand either! Very odd that such a luxurious product would smell so bad.

This is a very moisturising balm and a little really does go a long way. However it is quite expensive considering it is a small bit of shea butter.

Shea Butter is surely known to be helpful on inflamed skin and I also use it as a lip-balm but at nearly £10 for 60ml this one is a bit too expensive
