Stably held my 16.3 pound monitor. Easy to rotate. Instructions are somewhat vague. If you have an heavier monitor you may need other tools not included (details later in this review).I wanted to experiment with rotating one of my monitor 90 degrees, which makes documents and emails easier to read. Most monitors require an aftermarket stand to accomplish this.I have worked with this type of stand before, so assembling it was not difficult. The instructions are OK, but there is one warning that I would like to emphasize: many monitors have circuit boards between the screen and the VESA mounting holes. It is important for the screws that attach the mounting plate to the back of the monitor to be long enough to engage all of the threads in the monitor's case, but it is critical that that they not extend so far into the case that they touch any circuit board. I highly recommend that you take great care to ensure that the screws are the proper length.If you are planning to attach this to a monitor that has a curved back, you will need to use the included spacers.This stand comes with a 4 mm Allen wrench, and a combo 6 mm Allen wrench with a #2 Phillips screwdriver on the end of the long side. Adjusting the tension on the left and right movement of the monitor requires a 5 mm Allen wrench, which is not supplied.When I attempted to attach a 28" monitor to stand, the bracket promptly slid down the post. Tightening the bracket's clamp to prevent this required an excessive amount of force - the included Allen wrench is not enough, I needed something that has leverage… a 6 mm hex driver with a 90 degree adapter. My monitor weighs 7.4 kg (16.3142 lbs), which is 0.6 kg under the 8 kg (17.6 lbs) weight limit specified for the stand.

I'm using it with a VESA laptop riser for a multi-screen, multi device set up at my desk. Works well. If I end up adding a second monitor I will probably put that on it instead.
