映像がキレイ！！以前持っていたポニーキャニオンのDVDとは比べ物にもなりません。俳優の顔のシワや汗の一滴一滴、服のヨレ具合や傷跡血糊… こんなに見えるなんて！映像が鮮明になったことにより、見えていなかったものが多すぎました。ヨノイ大尉が「全員集合せよ！」と言って捕虜幹部たちが退室するとき、ローレンスがヒックスリ捕虜長のことを顔を横に振りながら睨む様子など、何10回も見ていたのに気づかなかった俳優たちの演技もありました。全編英語で日本語字幕はありませんが、何度も見てセリフの意味がわかっていたので問題はありませんでした。また、ポニーキャニオン版にはない膨大な映像資料や坂本龍一、トム・コンティ、原作者ロレンス・V・D・ポストらのインタビューもよかったです！ただ、アメリカから送られてくるのに１ヶ月もかかりました。船便なのでしょうね。値段が値段だから、送料は抑えていると思います。それでも良いものをgetしました。

I got this movie to see David Bowie’s acting abilities. He is very good.. The movie is well made and I enjoyed the acting by all the actors. I couldn’t find this movie to rent so I bought it. I can rent “THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH” also with David Bowie, on iTunes Movies.

My son is a collector of these films. Must be pleased, no complaints so far. Good prompt service. Cannot think of any cause for complaint

I guess it's mostly interesting for fans of one of the two main (rock) stars, because it has not aged very well in my opinion. Best performance by Tom Conti though. The story is ok, but not all that fascinating.
