On the way to connect..

For this Gardena model 2999, the description should tell the countries for which this does/does-not work.It does not work on United States outdoor spigots (taps). The thread differs. The model 32998-G does work in the United States and I have used it since 2013, though it's not in stock at Amazon. (My 32998-G leaked after 8 years, so I removed its insert (thread reducer) then put in my new Gardena 2999, which now fits my tap.) The models 2999 and 32998-G look the same, but the insert/reducer threads differ. Oh, the insert/reducer color also differs. Indeed the picture of this product (which I recieved) is wrong -- the insert/reducer for 2999 is actually the same color (near white) as that end of the angled connector -- the picture is ACTUALLY for the 32998-G connector with a dark insert/reducer.I'm reluctant to give this a medium rating, since I'd give the almost identical 32998-G 5-stars -- I use these angled connectors almost daily for 8 months a year. I attach to it the "Gardena 8194 Four Channel Water Distributor Garden Hose Valve" from which I attach 4 garden hoses. The elbow connector lets me properly angle the large "Gardena water distributor".
