The item, which is quiet expensive, is advertised as being ultra strong. But that is not the case at all. I contacted the seller and upon informing him about the bad quality he gave me patronizing answer by assuming that I had applied the tape on a unclean surface. That is simply not true!!! His other argument is that the tape does not hold well near zippers and other difficult surfaces! Instead of assuming how customers deal with the tape, you should rather inform them before taking money from them!!!

I used this to repair a tear in a large divers trolley bag. It was along the zip, so I was very pessimistic it would work. It did! A few years on and the bag is still going strong. The bag was black so the repair is almost invisible. I’ve used the tape since to patch the interior of a pair of shoes! Really good product, which I have bought again.

I bought a brand new coat and within a week it somehow got a big rip in it. I bought this tape and cut several pieces out of it. I covered the rip with one strip and then used the other pieces to create a simple stripe design. I repeated the design on the other side of the coat. I did this to make it look more like the stripes were meant to be there rather than looking like as much like a patch. I used the black tape on a black coat for a tone on tone style so that they wouldn't be quite as noticeable as if I had used a contrasting color. They don't show up as much in real life as it appears in the photo, it's a little more subtle. It came out well enough that I will still wear the coat. After all, it is a puffer, so it is casual and not something I'd wear with a nice outfit. The tape works pretty well, although you are limited in design somewhat by the need to round the corners. If you didn't, a sharp point would be more likely to begin to peel. I highly recommend the product since it kept my coat from going to the garbage pile!
