I bought this after looking for a Pi-cluster case, after also making the decision to run some of my Pi's through power-over-ethernet (PoE).You could probably put this together without them, needing only a wiring diagram for the fan and LEDs. The instructions are basic and simple and help orient you as you work. It took about an hour to put together, but that includes time to shutdown the Pi's, remove them from their existing cases and attach the PoE HATs.The fan is powered by one of the Pi's. In my case I chose an RPI Zero. The instructions said to attach the fan to a 5v GPIO pin, but I put it on the 3v neighbouring pin. The fan spins slower, but more than fast enough.There is a handy carrying handle built into the case.The Pi's are attached to acrylic plates (shelves) which slot into the side walls. Although the fan is supposed to draw air through the case to keep things cool, it seemed to me that the case should be on its side, allowing heat to dissipate through the top in the event the fan fails. So I laid it on its side. It sill looks cool.The fan is very quiet. In my case, this is ruined by the noise of the fans on the PoE HATs, but that's another story. There is room for some SSD's to be attached to the shelves, and it may be possible to attach an SSD to the underside and a Pi (or other SoC) on the upper surface.If the LEDs begin to annoy you, just unplug the appropriate wire from the GPIO pin that powers them (leaving the fan still powered).Although this is a cluster case, none of my Pis are part of a logical cluster. I'm just using this to rack-mount some of them. I would definitely buy another of these if I needed more rack space.

Franchement, je ne regrette pas d'avoir choisi ce boitier pour faire mon Cluster. Coté esthétique, rien à voir avec ces tours toutes tordues où l'on visse étage sur étage. Bon après, c'est plus cher évidemment.Chaque plaque d'acrylique est couverte d'un film plastique ou papier autocollant de protection qu'il faut enlever. Pour les films plastiques (sur les étages en acrylique translucide), ça va tout seul. Pour les papiers (sur les grandes plaques latérales en acrylique anthracite fumé), j'ai du utiliser une pointe de cutter pour gratter un coin et attrapper un bout pour tirer. La découpe des plaques est propre et nette. Une oeuvre de d'art à poser dans le salon :DL'assemblage est simple. Il y a des marques L et R pour repérer les côtés gauches et droits, mais les encoches sont aussi de tailles différentes. On ne peut donc pas se tromper quand on emboite les étages sur les plaques latérales. Une fois le tout assemblé, c'est solide.C'est simple mais bien pensé. Il y a par exemple un tournevis fourni avec. Il a l'extrémité aimantée pour attraper facilement les visses et écrous. Et sur le ventilo, il y a des caoutchoucs à l'endroit des fixations pour éviter les vibrations et donc le bruit.La seule chose qu'ils auraient pu imaginer, ce sont des panneaux latéraux sur les faces extérieures desquelles on aurait pu fixer des SSD (ex.: des mSata), afin de pouvoir utiliser les 4 étages pour des RPI. Certes, ça aurait été moins esthétique...

de fan maakt wat meer lawaai dan ik verwachtte, maar verder is het wel goed.
