Replaced thermal pads on a RTX 3090 and this significantly reduced the temps I was having

My original intention to use this product with my NVME drive with my Mini PC. My Mini-PC does not have a secondary fan to cool, so the mfr leverage using thick thermal pads and use the metal bottom plate to act as a heatsink. Since thermal pad is about 4mm thick (I thought it was 3mm), I had to buy both 3mm and 1mm pads (I wished I bought 2 2mm pads) and sandwich them between the NVME and the bottom plate. After testing with CrystalDiskMark 8 with 32Gib test, I was able to reduce my max temps by 13 degrees.Previously, my Gold P31 was having max temp of 77c. After using this, it cooled to 64c degrees (nvme operating temp up to 70c). Only time will tell if this product can be used long term. I will update if the pads got worse over time.Cons: Product is very malleable. My last experience with a different mfr thermal paste was akin to rubber pad. Make sure to have a cutting board and xacto knife to work with. This is not a product to use with your hands/fingers. It also compresses easily, so do not let the product get smashed. It's like it's made 1 step just before becoming putty itself.

This is an excellent product and does what it says. I am running my raspberry pi 3b in the armor case. With stock thermal pads, my pi overheated in around 20 seconds while running the cpuburn test (temp > 85 degrees). Switched to Gelid pads and ran the test continuously for 40 minutes and the max temperature my pi reached was 65 degrees!I bought all the three variants, i.e., 1.5 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm for my future needs, though for raspberry pi 3b with armor case, 1.5 mm and 2 mm are sufficient. It is helpful to sand the thermal contact points of the armor case to remove the black paint it comes with. This pad is better than some of the commonly available thermal pastes, so go for it with eyes closed.

Just make sure to smush the pads a little bit and actually tighten the 4 spring screws all the way on the backplate. First I had GPU hotspot temps of 104~105C which is on the cusp of thermal throttling. I switched to 1.5mm thermal pads and while the hotspot temps were good, the vram temps were as hot as the original pads. Turns out, I had to smush the 2mm pads a little bit to ensure good contact with the GPU die. Now my memory temps are 80C under full load with a normal GPU hotspot temperature.
