I recently received my spoilboard in excellent condition. Inspired by an upgrade I saw online, I opted to enhance my setup by replacing the standard MDF piece. To do this, I purchased 8mm linear rod supports and matching 8mm rods.To ensure precise alignment, I clamped an aluminum ruler to my worktable and attached the linear supports and rods to the back of the two aluminum spoilboards. It's crucial to maintain a seamless connection between the spoilboards and keep the linear supports and rods perfectly aligned.As shown in the photos, the completed board looks great!A helpful tip: you may need to position the linear braces and rods as close to the edge as possible to accommodate the guide rail bearings and lead screw.

Easy to assemble, but the bearings and the nut seat on the 3018-Pro have smaller bolt holes (M4) and narrower hole spacing than provided on the new board. In particular, the holes provided for the nut seat extend beyond the parameters of the nut seat itself.

Having asked the question before purchase if the extension kit was suitable for my 3018 PROVer, I was assured it would. After assembling the MDF board to the two aluminium plates. First problem was the pitch of the screw housing holes are not correct. Second problem when finally assembled after modifying the board for the holes to line up. The centre screw housing hits the motor shaft collar before the slider housing hit the limit switch;One star for all the trouble and work needed to get a the assembly done which in the end does not work.I have now updated my review to a 5 star.After my initial problem as outlined earlier. I was given full support and even sent a new full kit at no cost to me. Thank you Tech Maker for your immediate response to my rather first review.
