What I say:Young children can be HARD on their toys. That does not matter with this gem! Durable. Soft.I am attaching several pictures so you can see how it is packaged (inside and out), the directions, the colorful and vibrant pages, and the back of the "book" where the 2 AAA batteries need to be installed. Note: The 2 AAA batteries are NOT included.Each page has dots that, when pressed, will give information about the items on the page. Pressing the dot a second time and the book gives more details about the item the child is interested in.There are small parts, such as Velcro pictures, that may go missing if you leave the child unattended. Unless the child is over the age of 3, children tend to have shorter attention spans and will walk away with the picture/letter/part and eventually put them somewhere that you (or rather, I) will not locate for several days.I love how interactive this "book" is. My granddaughter enjoys pressing everything, especially the animals.This is the perfect toy for a preschooler. The child never realizes that they are learning as they play. It gives the child the advantage of early learning. By the time a school is introduced into a child's life, the child already knows, identifies, spells, reads, and can mimic the sounds of animals that her classmates have not begun to learn about. I am stunned.The weight is light enough to make the "book" portable. If I travel, my granddaughter is kept occupied and I enjoy hearing her repeat back words and sounds. The book causes me to hear a lot of giggles. (Note: If your child is inquisitive, this also means that you will hear your child say, "Hey Nana! Great busy book. This is great find for kids especially to keep them busy. The quality is great and the color is bright. The kids enjoy the finger puppets the most.

The “book” is very colorful and fun. There are 10 cloth pages of activities ranging from town buildings to farm to dinosaurs.There are 2 KEY RECURRING FEATURES/THEMES:1. Cloth picture objects that can be velcro stuck in the “right” place (like sticking the duck on the pond). This can be fun for the right kid. However be ready to have lots of cloth animals everywhere if the child is not ready for this game.2. You can overlay the pages over a "tablet"/simple sound making machine. When you push designated areas on the page, the tablet will read out words (i.e. colors on the paint shop page, animals on the farm page etc.).This can be a great game for some kids in the right development window.One drawback of my particular unit is that the battery cover screw easily stripped and was hard to remove.
