Its a little bit les load but it does not make alot of difference in sound reduction. Meh

I use this a lot if not almost all the time. I try the 4-way beater that came with my drum kit but always go back to this one. Well made, right weight and size, nice to have the adjustable weight as well.

I had actually purchased this for a new cajon, but after checking this out, decided that I'd rather get the beater that is made for a cajon.However...for a kick beater on a regular bass drum, this one is really well made. The felt is nice and dense, heavy, and provides a solid THUNK. Gibraltar makes good stuff at an excellent price point. This kick beater is no exception.Highly recommended!
