I own a Mapex QR kit and it came with two mounted toms and a holder for these. I only use a single mounted tom in a simpler jazz set up however, so I wanted a single tom holder that would look neater. Most of the ones I looked at were 7/8'' diameter for the down rod into the bass drum mount and my kit needed 1''. Furthermore I needed a hex L-Rod arm for the tom to mount to. When I saw this I realised it would be perfect as I'd been looking for a holder that was one inch and had the hex arm but this was proving hard to find. With this I just added my own L-Rod ball tom holder from my Mapex double mount. It is a nice simple design and fits well. offering a lot of adjustment. It looks great too, an unfussy and practical design to fit in with my kit. I've played it at gigs and it feels sturdy once in place. Delighted I found a solution to this.

Used it to upgrade my old Tom holder for a more versatile set up. I also have the Double Post for when I want to use Two toms.

I didnt get much use out of this mount. It broke at the hinge really fast. Had to buy a different one.
