Ik woon buiten op 2 hectare land. Mijn kater zwerft graag rond maar ik kan hem altjd binnen een paar minuten vinden, zelfs als hij ergens binnen is. Geweldig

Haven't got to use it yet to find our lost cat. But it seems to do its job. The only hassle is getting the tracker open and charge the little batteries. But on the other hand, the standby time on one charge is much longer than a GPS tracker. We are on the road for 2 weeks now and we didn't need to charge it yet. We stay in areas where there is no good cell coverage so this tracker is perfect for us.

Ich habe mir den Peilsender zugelegt, weil mein Kater schon 2x in der Nachbarschaft in einem Hausflur und im Wäschekeller eingesperrt war. Ich habe den Girafus jetzt seit 2 Monaten im Einsatz und bin sehr zufrieden. Das Problem mit den Batterien hatte ich anfangs auch. Ich habe zuerst nicht verstanden, wie das mit dem Überprüfen der Batterieleistung am Sender funktioniert. Ich habe die Batterien immer extra herausgenommen und mit einem separaten Batterietester überprüft, wie voll die Batterie noch ist. So habe ich fast jede Woche neue Batterien reingemacht, weil der Tester mir die Batterie als leer angezeigt hat, was sie aber wohl gar nicht waren. Ich habe den Kundendienst von Girafus angeschrieben und mir wurde ausführlich erklärt, wie das Testen richtig funktioniert. Also allen, die irgendein Problem mit dem Girafus haben, kann ich nur empfehlen den überaus schnellen und freundlichen Kundenservice zu kontaktieren! Einzigartig, euch wird mit Sicherheit geholfen.Ich habe mir jetzt trotzdem noch das Ladegerät mit den 2 Akkus gekauft. Die Akkus halten länger und das ständige Batterie kaufen entfällt.Ich brauchte meinen Kater bis jetzt noch nicht aus einer Notsituation befreien, aber das Orten funktioniert sehr gut. Es gibt mir ein sicheres Gefühl, wenn ich meine geliebte Fellnase im Notfall orten kann. Wenn er in der Nähe ist und das Piepen hört, kommt er schon von alleine angeflitzt. Bis jetzt hat er auch noch keinen Sender verloren. Ich habe den Sender an ein Sicherheitshalsband von Hunter angemacht.

I'm generally quite happy with this product. I do have a few things to recommend.1: There is an instructional video available on YouTube. Search for "Girafus Tracker". The instructions are available in several languages.2: You will likely find that your cat goes beyond the 500m range more often than you might have thought. Don't panic, it's quite normal!3: When you need to recharge the battery in each tag, be careful not to lose the screws while the tag is open! (This is a bit of a nuisance; it would be so much better if it were possible to open and close the tag without the use of screws.)4: I agree with some users that the included instructions are not very clear. In particular, the synchronization between the base unit and the tags is not clarified. However, it is nicely explained in the YouTube video.

Je retrouve facilement mon nouveau chat qui découvre les alentours de mon lotissement. Mon vieux chien est facile à trouver également. Lorsque je dois partir au travail ou autre, je sors avec le récepteur autour du coup en mettant la fonction sonore qui permet de gagner du temps car les leds lumineuses ne suffisent pas toujours, surtout quand je prends mon vélo pour partir à leur recherche. 100% de réussite à chaque fois et en seulement 5 minutes maxi.Prévoir de charger les piles CR2032 avec le chargeur fourni, 1 fois par semaine. Prendre de suite 2 émetteurs si 2 animaux etc... 4 émetteurs possibles pour 1 récepteur, c'est économique et pas d'abonnement à payer !!Mes enfants ont pris goût au système, c'est même devenu un jeu de partir à leur recherche ! Je recommande.

Pour un chat de gouttière qui parcourt des kilomètres ce n'est pas suffisant, par contre pour un chat qui ne s'éloigne ca cela fonctionne très bien, je l'ai testé sur mes trois chats, je les ai lâchés dans la nature et les ai retrouvés en 2 min

We have an indoor cat that likes to sneak out and run. This location device has proved itself on more than one occasion. We still have our beloved cat because of this device. It's a bit fiddly and requires some maintenance but when you are searching for your pet you will realize how much its worth it...Tips:1) The rechargeable batteries are a pain and need to be recharged, changed, and watched frequently. Instead, try CR2032 Battery Lithium Coin Battery. CR Lithium 3V Cell. They are single-use but are cheap and last as much as 6 weeks. By a pack and add a reminder to your schedule to change them out.2) Change out the receiver's (base device) batteries at least every 6 months (2 Tripple A) whether you think needed or not.3) Test the tracker on your pet's collar when you brush/ pet simply by pressing the little button on the back edge of the tracker tag. Look for the red light on the tracker tag. No red light, change out the batteries...4) Read the instructions carefully. It's worth it.5) If the casing on the tracker tag does not screw down perfectly (or if your pet likes to bite at the tag now and then) reinforce it with a square of duct tape being careful not to cover the red light or the button in the back edge. This will hold it together better and help keep your pet's teeth from penetrating.6) When trying to locate your pet as per the instruction note you can briefly press the appropriate tracker button on the receiver and in a second or two the tag on your pet will make a brief high-pitched beep for you to listen for. This will help when you are getting close to the pet but are not exactly sure where they are.This is all a hassle yes but again, so worth it when the day comes you need it... Be disciplined about it and keep up with it, just do it...
