This looks better then the original lock which comes with the box. However, my first impression was that its purpose was to secure the box to the mounting plate, don't know why. :) The lock is more complex as is the key cut. Is it really 80% more secure? The inside part, a latch is made of some sort of plastic, quite hard but how strong is it? If someone smash the button on the box, will it hold or will it break off allowing for box to be open? The original lock is no different in this respect, so ...Because I bought it, I replaced the original lock with this one, a bit fiddly task and not so easy one but doable. It works well but honestly, I do not think it makes any real difference.
