I have given these hooks 4 out of 5 stars as they look smart and will work well for light to medium applications, and while they are generally very good but I would not class them as ‘Heavy duty’, while they are strong enough to hang a jacket on, they will bend, too many jackets or a wet trench coat would be too much load for these.Also, these hooks are quite small, the whole thing is less than 100mm in length. Hole centres are at 250mm distance and the holes are clearly designed for M3 Countersunk screws but you should be able to fit a M4 pan head in them if you need to.Pros:• Look smart• Good for light to medium load applications.Cons:• Not heavy duty.

I received the set of 10 hooks. Called heavy-duty, I’d be more inclined to call them ‘medium’ duty. The screws and rawl plugs supplied I don’t think are fit for the job, and certainly not for a heavy-duty hook. I’d want to use a longer screw and rawl plug for a wall. For a hollow door, you would need a suitable rawl plug.Having said that, each hook will comfortably hold a few coats, subject to the use of the right screw/plug combination for the wall/door you have fixed it to.The hooks themselves feel strong (I couldn’t bend them) and are of a decent quality finish, although basic looking and a good size for coats and bags.While I do recommend them on price, I give them four stars as I believe they are only medium-duty.

These are good quality hooks, made of aluminium and finished in black. They can easily be fitted to walls and doors and being only 4" tall they don't dominate your wall. Good value at less than £1 each
