I am very surprised how these coaster look on a table. I love the gold colour, exactly the one I was looking as some are just too yellow for me. Even though the coaster are made out of rubber/plastic they look very nice on the table and at a first glance you'd think it is metal. However they are thin hence I am not sure how they will protect furniture against hot mugs. I think for those I will get different type of coasters
