I gave this a 4* because none of these little cameras are going to take pictures as good as a cheap DSL.But if you take this for what it is, a child's toy. Then it is well worth your time, and money. The film is cheap, the kid can take lots of pictures before you have to change the roll. Your child will have many smiles and you will get lots of good memories. Now I got one for my grand daughter that was a different company. It took viewable pics outside, but the light on it was even less bright then my camera light so it was just an outside camera. She still had a blast. What's funny is this one doesn't have any kind of light on it and it take very viewable pics inside with just the lights all on. It has an added setting for printing beside Grayscale it has one called Lattice and the prints come out so much better. It comes with a 32gbv micro memory card. Uses the new standard USB "C" charging port so you can just use your cell phone charger, yes built in rechargeable battery. It has a 1/4" circle mirror in front for selfies if you can see it. The controls on the back are very hard to read. Will do videos and some games but I didn't even worry about those. If you need video and games look else where. Just think about this as a little printer for black and white pictures that your child can have a lot of fun with. And a lot cheaper than those old poloids of years ago. I recommend this for fun, don't get serious just let your child shot pics and maybe they will get interested in photography later in life. If you want to have a lot of fun and an adventure with them. Take a walk into nature and let them take pics of the flowers and bugs they see. No they won't be great but they will get to see the world in a different light.
