The adapter struggles to supply proper voltage under load. Normally a DC voltage drop for about 2-5% is normal. But on the 3 Volt setting this adapter goes way down to 2,31 Volt if under load with the specified 2,25 A. That is a voltage drop of 23%. The maximum current that can be delivered without dropping below 3 Volt is just about 40 mA. That is no where near the specified 2,25 A.On the plus side: the adapter does have a over current protection: if the current gets beyond 2,85 A the voltage and current drops out. Also it does not run very hot. About 30-33 'C for 30 minutes at 12 V with a 2,25 A load. The voltage was not 12 V, same story: drops near 10,9 Volts. This is in percentage not as bad as it is on the 3 Volt setting but still this is like 9% which is is a bit to much actually.I have contacted the manufacture last week, still have to hear from them. They'll probably not going to reply. I thought by buying a German designed AC-DC adapter I'll get some quality but it does not look like it.I have changed the adapter for the same item, perhaps i got a faulty one. But actually the second delivered adapter is slightly worse than the first one? I do not recommend this adapter. The voltage drop is too excessive.

I just measured the voltage. And it was missing from the adapter output. Amazon made a quick replacement. That's a good thing. But where is the quality control at the manufacturer, and where is the pre-sale inspection at the seller?
