OK, that bit is a by product, care of it being the era in which Jarvis grew up, but anyone picking up this book who was born in the same bracket will find all sorts of long lost bits of nostalgia to grin about.This book is charming - interesting and enlightening, but told in a charming, light weight way that is very engaging.Definitely recommend!

This might not be a classic but still a fun read about Jarvis life. I am having a great time going through his stuff and memories.The book itself arrived in perfect conditions.

A prevelige, & engrossing, glimpse into the journey to stardom of one, the, Jarvis Cocker. Prompted & punctuated by intimate memoriabilia, we travel pre & Thatcher-era Sheffield with a personal guide, on his path. If we get a Part II (no rush on that JC), I'll be first in line.

This is a rather unusual approach to tell something about your life - yet it is a very charming and authentic one! In enjoyed it very much.
