I am a ham radio operator and I used this to string up HF antennas thru the trees when I go camping or operate as a "Parks on the Air" radio station. The cord is bright yellow nylon that is coated so it slips easily thru branches and rarely gets hung up.The weight is just right. I can usually put it where it needs to go with 1 or 2 tries. It packs fairly tight so it doesn't take up much room.One suggestion is to search out some YouTube videos and how to wrap up the rope. You will want to do this figure 8 pattern and, although it can take awhile, it's worth your time. Lest you end up with a tangled mess when you deploy it.73's

I bought this to pull an end fed antenna into trees for ham radio POTA activations. I was skeptical at how this was any better than just using a long string and an old wrench, but I'm sold. I take mine loosely stuffed into a 2 gallon bucket and toss the weight with the line into a tree granny style, and I'm able to toss it well over 75' into trees with no issues. And I'm not particularly athletic or a great aim.The cord is slippery enough that it slides through branches easy to let the weight down to the ground and make it easy to pull back to wrap up the day.

I like to hike and i like to get on the radio, you combine the two and you have "Parks on the Air" or "Summits on the Air". Need to get a wire antenna up? Just toss this over a tree limb and you can pull your paracord back across clip your antenna wire to it and snug your EFHW up and get on the air. The cord they send with is slick and just slides through the limbs. Thank you for a great product that does what it should. I would recommend this to any ham radio operator working portable. It works better than just tossing paracord up because paracord likes to snag and will not slide over limbs very well. This helps you and the tree both have less stress. Thanks Weaver Leather, LLC !!

We needed to cut some dead limbs about 40' up and used this throw bag to get a retrieving line up and over the limbs and then attached a manual chain saw to cut the limbs. We were able to get the throw bag well over 60' using the sling shot approach. Never hangs up. Great product.

First off, if you have ever wrapped a present for someone and used the edge of scissors to turn the straight ribbon into a pig tail curl to look fancy, then you do something similar with this throw line. Unlike ribbon being pulled across an edge, rope that twists and kinks will become straight after pulled over an edge or small radius a few times.I do this with my climbing ropes too so I can work out the kinks from a fresh spool or some bone head decided to coil my climbing rope like an extension cord.I simply set up 2 chairs and lay a broom across. In the middle of the broom I have a carabiner that I pull the line through back and forth until the kinks and twists are out. Keep tension on both sides as you do this. You will have to work it back and forth a few times fyi.Lastly, learn how to coil properly. Rope storage can mean the difference between a bird's nest or a perfect cast.Good luck and have fun.Not rated 5 stars because my line came damaged in the middle and the stitching on the bag looks like a child did it.
