Before I purchased this I read many reviews and Q+A. Many were skeptical about using this for gyprock. Well it will lift half and five eighths inch 4x8 panels no problem. Can't speak to larger sheets. No bending over to lift, just clamp it to the top bend the legs and lift straight up.

I don't do reviews often, but this time I thought I should share my experience.A couple of months ago, I decided to install my own synthetic turf in a pretty large area (about 2,800 sf). I did all the work myself and had the turn delivered. The first moving them around was tough and had to get my brother to help. Both our hands and forearms were on fire and sore for days. (I'm actually very athletic and strong, but that didn't seem to help).The project needed final finishing and moving large pieces of heavy turf (15'x 45') was not an easy job. I got this gripper and the job became an absolute no-brainer. I was able to move the heavy turf into exact positions and align it all by myself, quickly and without getting sore. This product was a life saver and I will be using it for future products. I'm sure I'll be able to use it for other things as well.Definitely worth the $50 to get it.

I have a woodshop and also frequently find myself involved in remodeling projects around our home. As such I'm constantly obtaining, transporting, and shuffling drywall, plywood, cement board, and melamine. I'm not a big guy, and have a really hard time wrangling a full 4x8' sheet of 1/2" drywall by myself for any great distance (let alone 5/8"). This handy contraption makes it SO much easier.Recently I had some drywall delivered. The delivery guy left the pallet (with about 20 sheets of drywall, much of it 5/8") on my driveway, and I didn't have any help. So I had to move 20 sheets by myself into the house (kudos to the guys that do this regularly/professionally - I simply cannot). Without this contraption I would have been helpless until I could find someone to help me.Due to limited space in my shop I have to stack plywood vertically against the wall. Getting to one of the sheets in the back was always such a nightmare. Now it's much more tolerable to move sheets out of the way.And as long as you remember to lift only by applying upward force on the handle, it simply WILL NOT slip, even on melamine. This thing is definitely a back-saver and I'm sorry I did not purchase one sooner! I have memories of myself and my wife wrangling drywall at the big box store...those experiences, though character-building, could have gone so much smoother with the Gorilla Gripper!I have to say that this contraption and a tracksaw are the two items that have taken working with sheet goods from dreaded activity to pleasure.
