well it is no use in heavy clay soil you woyuld nearly break your wrist from the drill twisting around so strongly. I bought it for making holes to plant bulbs after two holes had to stop using it. Would not recommend.

So far, so good! I used a Ryobi battery powered drill so I knew it may not have had the UMPH to drill. But it did! Well, by seeking places that would best work, I did. And lifted the dirt out often. Pretty cool tool! I did 4 pipe inserts for deep watering before I ran out of insert. Need to go buy more pipe. I just had that as a left over. It is a 2 inch PVC I think water pipe but may be sewer. Drilled 3-4 holes in lengths of about 18 inches. My citrus trees mostly have upper level roots. And sank it to below the top hole which was about an inch down. Maybe I will research using those inserts for fertilizing. Don't want to hurt the trees. Texas does that all on its own. The only trouble I had was User error, *grin* too enthusiastic!
