I'm tatting laces, and there is a very nice polyester tread for tatted jewellers. Smooth, easy to make a knot, very strong. Probably it's a bit softer tread than professional tatters prefer, but it's great for beginners. I'm satisfied with the price as well -- usually, you can buy one colour for 2 pounds in sewing shops, and on Amazon, one colour might be priced up to 4 pounds, but here it's less than 2 pounds per colour. So that's a deal.
