Productdetails

Aanbevolen temperatuurbereik -20 ° C-60 ° C

The Gygyl 150m soft flask is just great for when out for a walk or a run.We already had an identical one from another brand, and were looking for a second one, so we had one each. It's a perfect size for carrying in my running backpack. I don’t like to drink a lot of water on my run, just a few sips now and again, so it works really well, without being bulky and uncomfortable. It’s nice to handle and easy to drink from, and great value for money at the current price of £15.99 for two, as it is the going price in general for a good quality soft flask.Recommended.

I'm a big fan of this type of water bottle. They are very lightweight, refillable, and great for travelling anywhere.I use these for my walks and hikes as they fit perfectly in a rucksack side pocket and once you've started it, they do fit pretty well in a coat pocket as they start to collapse. The bottles have a screw top and the mouthpiece comes apart for cleaning which is excellent. I also have a bottle brush which can get in them and a larger one for the inside of the bottle itself. To dry, I simply stand them up with a kitchen implement inside so that it dries out completely. This is especially important if you are not going to use it for any length of time. The plastic body feels soft yet robust.I only use mine for water but from experience, if you do use squash type flavours, you're better off keeping one dedicated to water as they can hold flavours. I have found that the bottle still has a plastic type after taste despite two weeks of use with water, and daily washing. This is likely to improve with time, but it's not ideal. If the lid slides off, it is not leak proof. This is the only issue I have with these bottles. I have two of these in a different brand, that don't have a lid, and got these due to the 'leak proof' advertising. Leak proof to me, means I can put them inside a bag without being concerned for leaks. Sadly, I cannot do that with these. The lid simply slides down onto the bite valve. When the bite valve is damp, the lid slides off really easily. If the bite valve is uncovered, it leaks with very little pressure applied to it. So, if I have this inside a bag, and the lid slides off, it will leak. So I'm back to storing it outside of the bag which means I'm limited to having it in a rucksack rather than a bag that doesn't have bottle nets outside of it which is a shame.Overall, they are great bottles, just don't rely on the lid staying on when inside a bag. Price and value wise, they are on a par with many other brands.

I don't like taking large standard water bottles on hiking trips, as they take up space whether they are full or empty. This bottle is particularly light, and packs up well into a small size. The weight is 30g when empty.I tested the amount of water which can fit into the 250mls bottle, and (happily) it was 250mls. Maybe 254mls if filled absolutely to the brim.I already have a couple of slightly larger bottles in the same design, for us adults. These two will be for the children. The package is a convenient size, which works well both at the airport and on hiking trips. It's not too heavy - max 280g when full. You may consider that even children could use a 500ml bottle of the same design, since 250mls of water in a 500ml bottle is virtually the same size. Retrospectively I should have got the 500mls bottle for the children as well.I like these, since you can free up more and more space in your bag as you drink more of more of the water in your bottle. For the way back, you may have enough extra space to buy something like a souvenir. The smell when first opened was neutral, and non-chemical. It smells of something very mild, but it's not bad.To suck the drink out, you need to bite the silicone stopper. That separates the silicone from the plastic inner, and allows the drink to flow. It isn't necessarily the most comfortable way of drinking, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.I pressurised the bottle at times by squashing it, but it never leaked at all. It does seem to be properly water-tight.The range of temperatures of the liquids stored inside is 0 - 60 degrees Celsius. That's frozen to hot shower temperature. Don't put boiling water inside !!Room for improvement... There was no strap provided to tie the bottle small in the closed position. That would have been nice. You can use a rubber band. The bottles are a great idea, and something I will definitely be taking on my next holidays.

I walk a lot, and (especially in warmer weather) get through a lot of water. I don't like carrying a bag, and so normally resort to a couple of plastic water bottles in the pockets of my cargo shorts. That is all well and good, but once empty, the bottles add bulk until I get home. These collapsible bottles are a good alternative. They weigh next to nothing, and (I ordered the 2 x 250ml size) are unobtrusive in my pockets when full. I drink from each one alternatively - to keep a good balance - and the bottles collapse as you drink from them. This means that there is a lot less sloshing about compared to rigid bottles as they empty.Filling the bottles is easy. I try and remember to chill them overnight so that I set off with nice cool water. If I know it is going to be a hot day I can add (with a funnel) crushed ice. Of course, there is the option to re-fill the bottles from a public water fountain if I find one on the way - but if not, then they add almost no weight or bulk once the drinks are finished. They have a dust cap, and are watertight - this means you need to gently bite (or squeeze) the nozzle to release water (easy to get the hang of it).

I wanted something that was light but with a decent capacity for walks and hikes. I have a range of metal insulated bottles in my inventory but these do add weight to my load even before they are filled with water. I chose the set of two 250ml 'flasks' because that gives me 500ml of liquid but the option to have 250ml of two different liquids, water, hydration drink or what ever, squash and milk, for example, if that is what you like. Although, as with my other bottles these flasks are not really well suited to any kind of carbonated drinks. Stick with still liquids and you will be fine.So my weight box has been ticked but are the leak proof. Well yes they are and so they do not necessarily need to be in the outer mesh pockets of my ruck sack (tick). Also capacity and versatility (tick). My next concern is keeping them clean after use and for the next time. Again I am happy this is achievable. Mild cleaners/antibacterials like tea or lemon juice are recommended but they still need to be rinsed and hung up to air dry, then packed with a dehumidifying sachet for longer term storage. (A sachet is provided with with each flask). They are easy enough to drink from and work for me. I think the price is on the higher side of par but they are well made and should last a reasonable length of time, before they need to be replaced. Overall they tick pretty well all of my boxes and I would recommend them.
