Dog does not like it. Helps to control him. He is a 45kg dog and very powerful. After a couple of months he still does not like it.

We have a 2.5 year old golden-labradoodle who will pull when walked on a leash. We've tried a vest, thinking it would slow her down with no luck. After some research, I purchased this headcollar, received it today and tried it. This is the real deal! Our 90 lb girl did not pull at all! Not once! She wasn't happy with the nose piece and tried to paw it off 3-4 times but I'm sure she will get used to it over time. I took her for a short walk (about a block) to see how she would do and was amazed at the control the head collar gave me! Buy this! Even if your pup is no longer a young pup in training, this WILL keep your dog from pulling. The leash itself is well-built, strong, thick, comfortable to hold.

What was once a great brand has now cheapened their product to absolute garbage. I purchased two of these for my 9 month old goldendoodle puppies (brother and sister) who work well on another brand of headcollar. I wanted the Halti OptiFit for the padded noseband and collar safety clip. They are well accustomed to wearing head collars on and do not fuss with them or paw at them. However, my male broke the cheap nylon strap of the collar safety clip in less than 5 minutes, (he got his paw through it when romping with his sister). The “padded” noseband (edged with a microscopic thickness of neoprene) is stiff and flat and not an adequate replacement for the rolled noseband I am currently using. As a leather worker I considered replacing the abrasive nylon and neoprene with leather, but the hardware is so cheap and crappy it would not be worth the effort. Overall a crummy, poorly made product, expensively priced and very poor value for the money. Usually I donate unused or outgrown dog harnesses etc. to a local rescue, but these are going straight into the trash.

This collar has been wonderful for taking my 10 month old lab on walks. He generally likes to pull a lot when on a regular collar in fact he pulls so hard I worry that he may hurt his neck. The Halti collar has been fantastic for eliminating the pulling. I would encourage anyone who gets one to view the YouTube videos about using the collar as I learned how to properly fit and train my pup.

Does what is expected. Ordered Large but it's not large enough for her.
