Excellent hammock. Puts me back in Puerto Escondido every time I lay in it.

When I first opened the package I was a little concerned because it felt too lightweight. But, it's not, it's strong and perfect!I've been sleeping in this every night on the screen porch since I bought it. Most comfortable if you lay directly on the hammock. But I've also used a fleece blanket underneath me on chilly nights. I have problems with back pain on a flat mattress and I don't have that in a hammock like this woven cotton one because you sleep sideways in this. and it conforms to your body shape and is very supportive.Note that you can't leave this out in the sun or rainy weather, but for inside sleeping or general use it's great.

UPDATE; ok so after a month or so of using it every day to sleep in instead of a bed, I thought I would update my review. First things first' it is very, very comfortable. My issues with the size not withstanding, I don't think I have ever slept better and my morning back pain is GONE. Poof. You have to get the angle right (your hammock should "smile" at about 30 degrees) and lay in it diagonally...you will know when you are in the right position as you will probably pass out soon after. For comfort it beats all the others I have tried no contest - it's that good. BUT....there are some issues to take into consideration which prevent me from giving 5 stars1) the aforementioned size. It's very possible that I have no concept of size (so hubby tells me 😉) but despite stretching considerably I just can't see how a family would fit on here. At all. Every morning my 8 year old hops in with me and it's a cozy fit... But one more would not work. Given the mind boggling comfort level though I am considering giving the jumbo size a whirl.2) The weave. It's a tight weave sure, but unless you only use it naked you WILL catch buttons, zips, toes, nipple peircings all the time. And this will cause unraveling (more on that next) so be aware. And as the hammock is so deliciously streatchy it's hard to throw a sheet over without. It all caving in around you like a poorly made soufflé when you get in. I pondered this problem way more than is probably healthy and finally found something that works a treat. THe Ophelia blanket from Ikea is huge, stretches to crazy proportions, is non slip' light weight and looks nice. I used a couple of bits of ribbon to attach the long edge ( with plenty of overlap so it looks pretty ) to the rear long edge of the hammock - if you sit on it like a couch, that would be the edge at your back. And just left the opposite edge to overlap loose. Then thanks to my weird need for symmetry in all things I used more ribbon ties to attach either end. $19 for an easily removable cover that washes like a dream and stops feet, elbows and family pets poking through the hammock.3) Unravelling. Despite my best efforts above, I seem to still have an unraveling issue that would be very noticeable without the above cover. And the end strings tangle infuriatingly at the slightest provocation. But my lack of back pain and general happy demeanor mean I really don't give a hoot - just thought it was worth mentioning.Hope that helped if you are on the fence... I paid for my hammock with my very own cash... No freebies. Not that Iwoukdn't like them... No one ever offers me any!I ordered the family size for a reason, for my disabled hubby, daughter and myself to be able to relax in together. I even held off ordering the jumbo -from the measurements posted it seemed like it might be too large. I even sent an email confirming it was the family size I wanted.I understood that the hammock needs to stretch, and may appear smaller at first, but it didn't even come close to reaching the hooks I had placed 11ft part, as recommended. It fits comfortably on my 9ft hammock stand, which it should be waaaaay to big for, even un stretched , if this were the family size. I am 5ft 1' and my feet stick up over the end when laying 'across' it, the width is supposed to be 8 ft or something.There as nothing on the invoice,packing or hammock itself to indicate the size I had been sent ,but I am very disappointed. I can't afford to return it - it took me a while to save up for this as it is. I have many hammocks - 2 outside, 4 inside - so they are not new to me, but this is my least favorite by far. Also the sides are way too taught, bringing them up to high and making it impossible to lay diagonally as they recommend.Very unhappy with this purchase, with I had spent the money on two cheaper hammocks to be honest.

This is the Best hammock I’ve ever had other than the one I had before it that I bought in Mexico that was exactly like this one!!! I had my other one 25 years and it was the best help for my hip and back pain. It also was where I wanted to be whenever I had an attack with my Multiple Sclerosis. However, I put it safely away when we had some work done on our back porch last summer and I have not been able to find it since that day. When I finally found this one on Amazon, after trying others, I knew I had to get it. It is the best purchase I’ve made! I am happy once again!!!

You must lay in it diagonally to get the most comfortable position. I bought the tan one and love everything about it! Takes a little bit longer to dry after the rain but not a big deal because you get the comfort of the material against your skin and allows air flow
