I learnt to use a drop spindle with the hook on the top end of the long dowel, but it was easy enough to swap the hook from one end to another.The weight is good, and produced a nice even spin, helping to create a consistent yarn.

As this is the first time I have bought a spindle I didn't realise there was a crack until I started to use it. It was very difficult to use as the hook in the top was inserted at an angle. When it was removed, we saw that it was badly bent and appeared to have caused the split in the spindle. My husband has patched it together for me with strong glue and inserted a new unbent hook. It work to some extent.I suggest that the company's quality control needs to be improved.

Nice item but not had a lot of time to master the art of spinning yet. Have put a small slot in the side to assist with holding the yarn in place better.

This is my first time trying any kind of spinning and I’m pleased with the product. It was easy to use and was good quality and value for money.

I don't often write reviews but I have to say this is a well made tool that is a pleasure to use.
