Update. First, the cap leaked and damaged the paint on my console. Then, while three hours from home, the top separated from the threaded section and I couldnt remove the cap to fill the tank. Luckily, I was 2 miles from a Harley shop. A tech loaned me a large screwdriver and I was able to pry the top off. I then used pliers to remove the threaded section. I had to buy a cap from Harley ($16). My console is ruined and needs to be repainted. Do not buy this piece of junk.
