After messing with linux mint and loads of configs I was not able to run my computer without a screen connected to it.After looking for solutions this appears to be the simplest: buy a 3 euro dongle. It immediately works, and saved me from wasting another day or 2 finding a software solution that might work.

2 dongles besteld die verzonden zijn via DHL. DHL meld dat zending bezorgt is. Helaas zeggen e er niet bij in welke brievenbus want die van mij was leeg. Daarna geen contact mogelijk met verzender

Macht genau das was es soll. Es emuliert einen angeschlossenen Monitor. Glücklicherweise hatte ich im Internet einen Hinweis gefunden, das der MS-01 von Minisforum diesen benötigt damit AWT überhaupt ohne angeschlossenen Monitor funktioniert. Mit diesem Dongle geht das anstandslos.

Bought this for headless boot of my mini PC when I planned to take it and my Quest 2 headset on a particularly dull hotel stay. Make sure you set up auto-logon because you'll have no way to sign on. I've since picked up the Ray Neo 3s glasses which my computer recognizes as a monitor and don't need this as much but it's small and functional and will remain in my travel kit, just in case.

This stuff is legit, the 4k60hz version works perfectly, even custom resolution works perfectly. The only one on Amazon that I could find that’s both DP and 4k60 and supports custom resolution.
