I have a projector which video source from my karaoke. As my projector doesn’t have a good resolution I decided to get this so that I can see the same thing on both project and monitor. This way I can see from the monitor to select songs while the videos plays on the projector. This works very well for my purposes. Quality is good, there isn’t any special feature anyway.

A good accessory for a TV with a limited number of HDMI sockets or to connect multiple game comnsoles to the same socket.

Ich habe den Splitter mit zwei Full-HD-Monitoren (1080p) getestet. Das Bild wurde auf beiden Monitoren einwandfrei dargestellt. (Natürlich das gleiche Bild, denn der Splitter dupliziert das Bild nur. Er erzeugt KEINEN erweiterten Desktop, wo auf den Bildschirmen unterschiedliche Inhalte dargestellt werden! Das ist aber in Ordnung und würde einen ganz anderen Gerätetyp erfordern.) Der Ton wurde an einem Monitor ausgegeben – ob der Ton auch an beiden Monitoren gleichzeitig ausgegeben werden kann, konnte ich leider nicht testen, da mein zweiter Monitor keine Lautsprecher besitzt.Der Splitter verfügt über einen kleinen Schalter, mit dem man zwischen zwei Modi wählen kann: Im Modus "Copy" wird die Bildschirmauflösung des Computers verwendet. Im Modus "Auto" werden die EDID-Informationen des Monitors mit der niedrigsten Auflösung an den Computer geschickt, der dann die entsprechende Auflösung einstellt. (EDID steht für 'Extended Display Identification Data' und übermittelt die Auflösung des Monitors an den PC.)Da in meinem Fall alle Monitore und der PC die gleiche Auflösung hatten, konnte ich die Funktion des Schalters nicht vollständig testen. Mir ist jedoch aufgefallen, dass die Soundkarte im (Windows-)PC  zwischen der des HDMI-Splitters und der des Monitors wechselte. Der Splitter hat also entweder die IDs einer eigenen Soundkarte angezeigt oder die des Monitors durchgereicht - eine clevere Lösung.Der Splitter wird mit einem USB-A-Anschlusskabel geliefert, das zur Stromversorgung an den PC angeschlossen werden sollte. Bei mir funktionierte der Splitter jedoch auch ohne diese zusätzliche Stromversorgung – die Spannung aus dem HDMI-Anschluss war ausreichend.Hinweis: ARC (Audio Return Channel) wird explizit NICHT unterstützt - das würde für den Anschluss von Soundbars an einem der beiden HDMI-Ausgänge benötigt.Das Gehäuse des Splitters besteht aus einfachem Kunststoff, ist aber völlig ausreichend.Zusammenfassung:Vorteile:Einwandfreie Bildausgabe auf zwei MonitorenZwei Modi zur Auswahl der BildschirmauflösungFunktioniert auch ohne zusätzliche StromversorgungNachteile:Kein ARC-Support (wobei das systembedingt auch etwas viel verlangt wäre, daher nicht wirklich ein Nachteil)Fazit: Insgesamt bin ich mit dem HDMI-Splitter sehr zufrieden und kann ihn weiterempfehlen.

My work laptop only has one HDMI slot and this often catches me out when I need to present but also have a second screen. This little hub solved that problem nicely by allowing me to use x2 HDMI cables. I ordered in purple which isn’t really important but it looks nice and matches my laptop bag. It even comes with a cable so great value for money. It works as expected and I would recommend.
