I coach sailing and purchased these as an alternative to flip flops in the boat. They are good quality and have so far lasted 2 season. The traction is decent on fiberglass skiffs and they don’t make your feet hot in warm weather. The drain water well and stay tied. My only complaint is they run a bit narrow at the wide part of the foot and do not give like mesh or leather. I do have a wider foot so this would probably be a non-issue for others.

With a little more than a season on these shoes the soles have gone slick and have minimal purchase on anything but coarse nonskid. They’re comfortable and have otherwise held up but no longer safe to wear on deck.

I slipped while I was standing still on a deck of a sailboat. These shoes have no traction.
