The reviews were all over the board, so I didn't know what to expect. I thought since it was made in Germany, it was a risk worth taking. The clock arrived in great condition. The directions were simple enough. The pendulum regulator was extended all the way to the bottom which matched the picture with the instructions. I was pretty sure it wouldn't work like that, so after fiddling with it a while, I moved it up about an inch. That was a good starting point; then it took a couple of days adjusting it to get it accurate. It is keeping great time and has a nice chime on the hour. I like the look of it and it has been ticking away for about a week. It is an eight day movement, that wasn't clear on the listing. For this price you can't go wrong.
