I got these to replace a number of flight shafts that broke. There are definitely some pros and cons to these over traditional flight shafts. For what they are, I gotta give them a 5/5 - they're good quality, seem well-made, and do their job for this style. Not much to critique. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference.The following is more a comparison of fixed-flight vs traditional shafts:PROs- all one piece, so no worries about the flights coming off- fins are sturdier than traditional, so won't bend out of shape- machined at 90-degree angles for consistent flight pathsCONs- all one piece, so if it breaks, you have to replace the whole thing (could get expensive, though less likely to break)- fins are fixed, so no ability to adjust flight path (if you're into that)- flights are all black - no individuality (though you might be able to paint them)Side note, these flights are approx. 1/2 inch shorter than traditional ones (see pic).
