De huishoudelijke wisselstroombeveiliging is voornamelijk ontwikkeld voor 50 Hz of 60 Hz wisselstroomcircuits met 220 V/230 V. Nominale bedrijfsspanning bij wisselstroom 7a-gebruik, nominale bedrijfsspanning tot 230 V, nominale bedrijfsstroom tot 25 A, nominale bedrijfsspanning in wisselstroom-7b-werking, nominale stroom tot 10A. Gebruik in schakelvermogen onder 5 kA-circuits. Voor het verbinden via afstand of onderbreking van het circuit.
