I'm replacing mechanical switches on my CNC mill with inductive sensors so chips getting into the switches will not be a problem. These sensors come in different styles. There's two wires ones (like this one) and three wire ones. There's NPN and PNP styles. Finally there's normally open and normally closed. You will need to determine which will work for your application. I've been trying different types depending on the location. This sensor is non shielded. That means if metal is close to the end but off to the side it could trigger it. So it's not going to work if the sensor has lots of metal around the end.In my case some of the switches only use two wires so a 3 wire sensor would require rewiring the machine. The sensor has a light that works well when setting up the distance. Plus it gives a visual indication when the switch toggles. So if using it as a limit switch you will know when you've reached the limit. If using it as a home and something happens and your machine can't find home you can easily see if the switch is working correctly while troubleshooting. The length of the threaded shaft allows for plenty of adjustment.

bonjour,sur motorisation du portail,souvent des ennuis avec un fin de course mécanique.j'ai remplacé par ce detecteur sans contact et depuis le portail fonctionne bien.
