This proximity sensor is pretty industrial in feel and quality. It's pretty heavy duty compared to like, reed switches for alarm systems. The cable is thick and chunky and this should endure well in whatever application. The switch functions as it should, obviously, but I'm sure it'll last the crazy amount of life that you'd expect for an industrial sensor. Price? Price is crazy for what you're getting. Good buy!

This proximity switch is good for sensing part present or a machine mechanical move function. Can be used, for example to sense a movement of part of a machines automated process.I tested it and found it to work correctly. When metal comes within range of the sensing head the switch turns ON.
