For the people working and reliability, looking for trending, identifying failure patterns, for improving maintenance tasks frequency the Weibull distribution is a helpful tool. I believe this book is one fundamental to understand and apply Weibull function.

I've been in the asset management and reliability field as a senior to principal engineer for more than 14 years. This book blew me away with the depth on the subject of Weibull analyses. Abarnathy keeps it practical and demonstrates his recommendations throughout (e.g. using MRR instead of MLE with various sample sizes). I think the book would be much better if the fonts and equations were formatted better (some equations are difficult to read since the superscripts are too large and not high enough up) and put into a hardcover instead of a spiral bound book. If you're going to pay nearly $100 for a book, then you want it at least to look a bit better and durable than a course-handout. The content however easily makes up for these minor quibbles and I recommend it for any maintenance and reliability engineer.

This is a great resource for Weibull statistical analyses. We had been struggling with a thorough, robust method to conduct product testing and the information contained in this handbook was an excellent resource. Well organized, written in a manner which was easy to understand (very important for statistics!). Would highly recommend this resource.

One of the very best references available for Weibull analysis. Just the right mix of theory and practice with many examples. I've used this book for several years now and continue to buy more copies for other engineers in my company.
