What attracted me to these paper plates was the fact that they are all disposable and recyclable. With a major family gathering at the end of this month (my father-in-law’s 90th birthday party), when around 70-80 people are expected to attend.To avoid having a major cleanup operation the following morning, using strong, heat-resistant paper plates was agreed by the family members organising the party. These gingham plates fit the bill perfectly, although I’m not sure I would have chosen pink myself, as that decision was made by my wife.Anyway, these plates will be for dessert, I suspect, and with 50 plates and around 70-80 guests, some of whom will have already left for home, this should be enough. The hall does have ceramic bowls and plates if we need them.The price at review is almost £8, and it offers good value for money.Five stars and recommended.

These paper plates are made of good quality food-grade paper. Although they're classed as disposable you could easily re-use them by giving them a thorough wipe, if they are not too heavily food-stained or torn. Even as single-use (which obviously isn't very environmentally friendly), they are good value. In terms of recycling I assume they can go in the paper recycling box once any food debris has been removed.
